My faux brick accent wall is done and I love how it turned out! This brick added subtle texture and the white paint will help brighten up this office space.

Step by step how to videos saved to my highlights on my Instagram page! @updatingtoprettythings

Supplies:

- 4'x8' brick panels from Home Depot/Lowes

- Liquid Nails (& caulk gun) or Brad nail gun (or both)

- Jig Saw

- Paintable caulk

- Wall patch/joint compound

- 3/4 inch nap paint roller

- Primer & Paint color of choice

*take baseboards off if desired

Step 1:

Measure and cut brick panels to fit space (I suggest glue/nail one, then measure and cut for the second piece)

Step 2:

I used a brad nail gun to attach these panels to the wall. I nailed around all the edges and spread out nails into the studs as well. (I did not use liquid nails because I did not want to damage the drywall). Liquid nails are a good option if you do not have a brad nail gun. Or you can use both!

Step 3:

Caulk around all window/ceilings/trim-dip your finger in soapy water and smooth out. Also, keep baby wipes close by for extra cleanup!

Step 4:

Use joint compound/wall patch to patch all the seams. This can remain a little rough looking, as it will blend into the wall texture once painted. One this is dry, use a wet rag or sponge to smooth out the patch to make it look more coherent.

Step 5:

*use a 3/4 in nap roller for rough surfaces

-Prime wall prior to paint (not necessary but definitely recommended)

-Paint (at least two coats) color of choice

*If you removed baseboards prior, replace baseboards & caulk between trim & brick
