My faux vertical beams are up, stained, and looking so good! I am so proud of how these turned out, they are even better than what I dreamed up! (Tutorial saved to Instagram Highlights)

This week I started phase two of my office/guest room renovation and I broke ground on the closet office! I am going for a dark and moody vibe, so I picked the pain color "Dark Secret" by Behr. Today I cut 24 MDF skinny lap pieces for an accent wall behind my desk in the closet. In addition, I will be building two floating shelves and one floating desk top in this closet space. I am currently trying to decide on a desktop design...and leaning towards a herringbone pattern! Follow along with me on my Instagram Stories!

(This is the closet space. See my IG stories for paint sample hack pictured above!)

The final touches for this room will include two, homemade (macrame) swings! I've dreamed up something that could really bring this space to the next level...now I am just hoping I can create what I have in mind!

Stay tuned for the finishing touches...this is going to get really good!
